-

KOTA KINABALU: Less than a year after its grand opening, Weave Asia Digital Sdn Bhd is making waves yet again.

Company co-founder Tan Wan Ting, 27, was awarded the coveted Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and nominated for three others at the prestigious Business Excellence Forum & Awards 2019 (BEFA 2019), held in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam from May 5 to 7.

In addition to winning the award for the category of best entrepreneur under the age of 35, Weave Asia Digital also received award nominations for Fastestgrowing Company, Best Overall Company and Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

Founded in 2016 and officially launched in August 2018, Weave Asia is the leading digital marketing agency in Sabah. The company has offices in Singapore and Hong Kong and offers an array of digital marketing solutions ranging from product branding, web and graphic design, search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click (PPC), social media marketing and more.

Weave Asia was founded on the belief that traditional media channels such as television and print advertising are no longer the best ways to reach an increasingly connected and digitally-savvy audience. While traditional channels tend to be expensive and inaccessible to smaller business, digital marketing is affordable, widely accessible and more sophisticated than its counterpart.

The company specializes in providing integrated marketing solutions that enable businesses to engage with target audiences at every stage of the customer journey from awareness all the way through to customer loyalty unlike traditional media which tends to only do well in building brand awareness.

Weave Asia’s primary clientele in Sabah consists of companies in the tourism and travel sector as well as in food & beverages (F&B), two of Sabah’s most prolific industries.

“In most parts of world, even in West Malaysia, digital and social media marketing has taken companies by storm. Companies are now taking content creation and search engine optimisation to the next level to boost their businesses,” said Tan, winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

“Sabah has already seen a rise in social media influencers, which is very encouraging. Our aim here is to also help local companies make the most of digital and social media marketing to boost their businesses,” Tan added.

With all of its founders aged below 35, Weave Asia Digital Sdn Bhd proves that youth, innovation and a willingness to learn are just as important as experience and skill in order to succeed in the business world. For inquiries, companies can visit Weave Asia’s website at www.weave.asia.
