KCCI wants members given chance to take part in govt projects
PENAMPANG: Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Datuk Bonipasius Bianis hopes that members of the chamber are given opportunities to partake in major government projects such as the Pan Borneo highway.
Bonipasius said that KCCI has 700 members presently, most of whom are in the construction sector.
They have contractors ranging from Class A to Class F, he said.
He also urged the government to create more projects and enable members from KCCI to take part in them.
Aside from contractors, KCCI members are also in the agriculture, manufacturing and tourism sectors as well as in Information Technology.
He added that they are richly endowed with resources such as land in the agriculture sector.
“And we plan to look into technologies that will help improve our yield,” he said.
