KUALA PENYU: Residents in the district are reminded to heed the Movement Control Order (MCO) which the government implemented to stop the spread of Covid-19.

“We are thankful that Kuala Penyu is Covid-19 free therefore we must be vigilant and ensure that the district remains free of the virus so that the prosperity of the people’s lives here are maintained,” he said.

Limus said this when met on Saturday after he went to deliver food items to villages in the district. On the food assistance, the Upko Beaufort chief said the distribution will be monitored by the Unit Pemimpin Pembangunan Masyarakat Kuala Penyu with the assistance of Village Management Commitee chairmen who will be going from house to house.

“I hope the villagers will be patient because the distribution will be done in stages as our machinery’s movement is limited because of the MCO.

I however assure all folks in Kuala Penyu that they will receive the assistance,” he said. Limus added that he understands everyone is affected by the MCO and therefore all are eligible for the assistance.

He urged those who were overlooked to inform the MPKK in their village so that they can get the assistance as soon as possible.
