‘Third wave’ mass resignation in Libaran not true – Warisan

-

KOTA KINABALU: The leadership of Parti Warisan Sabah’s (Warisan) Libaran division has again refuted claims of another mass resignation involving 1,357 members in 11 branches.

Vice divisional chief Mohamad Mirodin said this group who claimed to be the ‘third wave’ to leave Warisan Libaran were the same people who resigned in the earlier ‘first and second waves’.

“The claim that 11 Warisan branches in Gum Gum have dissolved is also untrue because there are only four registered branches in that division and they are all still intact and with us,” he stressed.

Mohamad said that these people only wanted to create provocation and tarnish Warisan’s name as well as reputation.

He added that the excuse of being neglected by the division and party’s central leadership was a falsehood as since coming into power, there had been numerous meetings and dialogues with the leaders who were concerned about issues affecting the grassroots.

“I, as the vice divisional chief, have constantly been going to the ground to meet with the grassroots. Therefore I urge this group to stop telling lies just for the sake of political interest,” he said.

Mohamad added that Warisan Libaran would not hesitate to take legal action against those who were not party members but using its name for their personal interest.

He is confident that with the unity shown by the veteran and new members especially in Libaran, Warisan will grow from strength to strength.

Parti Warisan Sabah’s Batu 15 former branch chief Satar Wahab said in a press conference in Beluran on Sunday that the members from eight branches in the Gum-Gum state assembly seat, left the party because of a lack of confidence in the party’s leadership.
