-

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded zero positive Covid-19 case yesterday, while the number of recoveries increased by three to 359.

Two of the recovered patients were reported in Tuaran and one in Penampang.

Both districts were reclassified as green zone with no active cases.

With no new case registered yesterday, the total number of cases in Sabah remained at 378.

There are 12 remaining active cases in Sabah, including six in Kota Kinabalu and one each in Tawau,

Sandakan, Keningau, Kota Belud, Ranau and Nabawan.

Dr Rundi said the imported Covid-19 case reported in Keningau on Sunday was a non-citizen female who returned from Pakistan.

“She had undergone Covid19 screening at Kuala Lumpur

International Airport (KLIA) and was tested negative at that time.

“She was then ordered to undergo quarantine in Keningau where she was tested positive for Covid-19,” she said.

She said the patient had been admitted to Keningau Hospital.

Meanwhile, Dr Rundi said the second case reported in Kota Kinabalu on Sunday involved a man who tested positive for Covid-19 during a pre-surgery screening.

She said the patient was categorized as a local transmission case and had been admitted to

Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

On another note, she said two food premises in Tawau were ordered to close on Saturday under Section 18(1)(f) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 for violating the standard operating procedure.
