Sinaran celebrates excellent exam results

KOTA KINABALU: Institut Sinaran students celebrate as the Cambridge Advanced Level (ALevel) and Advanced Subsidiary (AS) results have marked greater achievemen­ts and successes.

The October/November 2020 Cambridge Internatio­nal ALevel Examinatio­ns results were released on January 12, 2021. The institute has performed very well despite the Covid19 pandemic with 100 percent passes in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Further Mathematic­s, Mathematic­s and Physics.

Students who scored 4 ‘A’s are Chui Chai Suen (A*A*A*A*), Lok Jian Ming (A*A*A*A*) and Samuel Wong Jia Qi (A*A*A*A*).

Students who scored 3 ‘A’s are Cassandra Yeo Geck Chi (A*A*A*),Wanthur Yong Tze Wang (A*A*A*), Nicolette Nadine Cheong Nyuk Khin (A*A*A), Iliyana Binti Samsudin (A*A A) and Anthea Siew Yu (A*A A).

Meanwhile, students who scored 2 ‘A’s are Urooj Fatima (A*A B), Tan Jie Ling (A A B), Chung Yi (A A B) and Quinee Chong Xuen (A A C).

As for the Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS) Examinatio­ns, Audrey Chang Yee Qi, Benjamin Koh Yung Li, Constance Lee Hui Ning, Tan Yong Seng, Wynnie Chong Xiao Yah, Yau Jeng Yann and Wong Chu

Xing Fion scored straight four “a”.

Yap Vui Yen, Nathan Ti Yin Kee, Victor Tee Way, Alicia Lee Jia Wen, Amanda Serena Foo Manping, Jason Tan Thian Wei and Quek Siao Xuan scored three “a” while Joseph Wong Kai En, Jasper Pang Jian Xun, Jordan Tzi Houng Soh, Tan Jia Wei, Kung Tze Xuan, Chang Hao Yang Trevor and Danielle Leong May Yun scored two “a”.

These results have proven that although the Cambridge requiremen­ts and passing marks are stringent, it also concludes that the institute’s high passing rate for students is due to the quality of education offered at Institut Sinaran as well as the students’ dedication and commitment.

Those who are interested in joining Institut Sinaran for ALevel can apply for the April, 2021 intake. In addition, the institute also offers interestfr­ee installmen­t payment plans, alleviatin­g student’s family cashflow for tuition fees payment. The installmen­t plan is subject to terms and conditions.

Institut Sinaran is also extending financial assistance under its Study and Cost of Living Assist (SCOLA) Award to assist families affected financiall­y by Covid-19 pandemic. SCOLA is made available to students from the B40 and M40 groups wishing to pursue their Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Commerce and Diploma in Marketing programmes for the 2021 intake.

Through the Sinaran Education Fund, the institute extends help to the community in the form of a ‘special tuition fee bursary’ for all Diploma applicants coming from the M40 household income category.

For the B40 household income category, the institute offers the full SCOLA package comprising tuition fee bursary and monthly subsidy for Accommodat­ion Rental, Campus Bus Service and Campus Cafeteria Breakfast plus Lunch for the whole duration of programme study.

However, this package is limited and is offered to B40 applicants that need to apply for the National Higher Education Fund Corporatio­n (PTPTN) Loan. The Cost of Living Assist is specifical­ly meant to help applicants whose residences are located beyond greater KK area and in other towns.
