Sri Tanjong rep to distribute 7,000 loaves of bread
TAWAU: Sri Tanjong assemblyman Justin Wong will distribute 7,000 loaves of bread to his constituents to ease the hardship faced by the people during the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0).
Justin said through Kim Teck
Cheong Consolidated Berhad executive director Dexter Lau, he managed to successfully collect 7,000 loaves of bread from Kim Teck Cheong and these loaves will be distributed in phases.
“Today will be in the Sin Onn area and the bread will be distributed from house to house. Because we are in the MCO, the people's complaint is that they cannot do business and life is difficult. So we hope this program gives a little bit of attention and also care for them in such a difficult environment,” he said yesterday.
Justin said the Creamos brand bread is a donation from Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad and the bread will be distributed through the Sri Tanjong assemblyman service centre.
“It is estimated that more than 10,000 will benefit from this contribution in the Sri Tanjong area,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dexter said the sponsored bread is to show support for Justin as the Sri Tanjong assemblyman as he has asked for sponsor and as a corporate, Dexter said he will support as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“It is also a way for our company to say thank you to Tawau people as the company has been here for 40 years,” he added.
“We have created a smart partnership to help the people and community and hope that this partnership will continue to progress,” Dexter said.
