Spritzer pledges by bringing fresh water to flood evacuees

KUALA LUMPUR/TAIPING: Spritzer Malaysia (Spritzer), which produces Malaysia’s bestselling natural mineral water, has joined in the effort to bring aid to victims in the flood-hit areas nationwide by distributing potable water to them.

Since Jan 7, 2021, Spritzer has distributed aid in the form of potable water to those affected in the east coast and southern states of the peninsular including Pahang, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu.

“To date, more than 25,000 bottles of potable water has been dispensed with more on the way for this continuous effort,” it said in a statement.

“With the full support from Spritzer’s subsidiaries and distributors, Spritzer is able to provide aid nationwide, including the latest affected areas in East Malaysia.” The company has a long history of donating aid to flood victims and hopes that this time round will help ease the burden of the affected victims as the Covid-19 pandemic has already affected a lot of lives.

Clean and safe water for consumption is important for the evacuees as it plays a key role in preventing disease while helping them to keep hydrated.

Spritzer has always believed in giving back to the community and the company is ever ready to step in by providing potable water since floods often mean local water sources would be contaminated and unsafe for consumption, even for hygiene purposes.

Spritzer draws its water sources from an environmentally safe and substantiable facility in Taiping, Perak surrounded by a nearby 200-million-year-old tropical rain forest.
