Bintai Kinden’s unit seals maiden deal to supply freezer boxes for storing Covid-19 vaccine in M’sia

KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corporatio­n Bhd’s 50.05 per centowned unit Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd has inked its first deal to supply the Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box designed for the storage and distributi­on of Covid19 vaccine in Malaysia.

In a statement, Bintai Kinden said it entered into a memorandum of understand­ing (MoU) to supply the medical freezer boxes to SRTEON Security Services Sdn Bhd (SRT-EON).

Bintai Kinden managing director of Ong Choon Lui said the product was designed for the exclusive use in transporti­ng and storing medical products at very low temperatur­es, and it kept the inbox temperatur­e at negative 70 degrees Celsius for up to 120 hours.

Bintai Healthcare had also been appointed as the exclusive distributo­r for Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box designed for the storage and distributi­on of Covid-19 vaccine in Saudi Arabia and the Philippine­s. To recap, Bintai Healthcare was appointed as the exclusive distributo­r for Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box in Malaysia last month. At the same time, it was also appointed as an authorised distributo­r for the product in Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippine­s, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Bintai Kinden said both agreements were not expected to have any material effect on the issued and paid up share capital of Bintai Kinden, but were expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of the group. — Bernama
