Sandakan people's service centre resumes operation

-

SANDAKAN: The public could now seek assistance from the Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat P186 Sandakan which is scheduled to reopen today.

Member of Parliament for Sandakan, Vivian Wong, in a statement yesterday, said the centre which is located at B-72, 2nd Floor, Bandar Letat Jaya will provide service to people by following the standard operating procedure (SOP).

Vivian said the service centre had been closed since January 13, when the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 was imposed by the government.

“During the MCO, we tried to communicate with and listen to the rakyat via our online media channels and platform. Many residents did contact us during the MCO period for various enquiries as well as for assistance.

"While we understand that not every resident is well-adept at online communication, it was a necessary step born out of a difficult situation,” she said.

Vivian also hoped that they will continue to serve the constituency and the people of Sandakan to the best of their ability with the reopening of their Pusat Khidmat Rakyat.

The Pusat Khidmat Rakyat will be open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Walkins are strongly discouraged, and the public is advised to make prior appointment by contacting the office at 089218713 or 0108073313.

In addition, all visitors to the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat will need to wear a face mask and check in their personal particulars via the MySejahtera app.
