Four new import players for Sabah FC

Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) have completed the list of new imported players, both local and foreign, for the Malaysian League this season with the inclusion of four signings from different countries.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) have completed the list of new imported players both local and foreign for the Malaysian League this season.

The four imported foreign players are Indonesian national player Saddil Ramdani, 22, Gabon national midfielder Levy Madinda, 28, Macedonian midfielder Risto Mitrevski, 29, and Liberian striker Sam Johnson who are expected to join the squad soon.

The announceme­nt was made through the club’s official Facebook page, completing the quota of five foreign players allowed for the Super Ligga squad.

Korea that will be with Sabah for the third year this season.

Also named in the list of import players are two former Malaysian national players, Mohd Amri Yahya, 40, and Nadarajah Thanabalan, 26.

Other players who have been listed with Sabah FC are Rozaimie Rohim, Robson Rendy Rining, Joslan Aping, Rawilson Batuil, Maxsius Musa, Bobby Gonzales, Dendy Lowa, Jenius Karib, Alto Linus, Evan Wensley Wenceslaus, Mohd Azizan Nordin, Rahman Shah Marajeh, Ummareng Bacok, Ariusdius Jais, Mohd Azwan Fattah, Ricco Nigel Milus, Sabri Sahar, Mohd Syukri Baharun, Randy Baruh @ Samson, Hamran Peter and Mafry Balang.

Sabah FC team manager is pleased with the developmen­t and hopes the squad will prepare for the Malaysian League competitio­n this season.

The team have returned to training since February 15 with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

“So far, I am satisfied with the team’s developmen­t since returning to training on the field. Players are also discipline­d in maintainin­g their health and fitness while training on their own at home,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sabah FC is scheduled to hold a warm-up match in Peninsular today as a final preparatio­n before the kick-off of the Super League this season on March 5.

Marzuki said Sabah FC is expected to hold two friendly matches against Sarawak United (February 21) and KL United (February 23).
