TYT rides Harley Davidson to Papar
KOTA KINABALU: Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin rode on a Harley Davidson to Benoni, Papar on Sunday.
He was accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni and about 50 big bike enthusiasts including Sabah Commissioner of Police Datuk Jauteh Dikun and Deputy State Assembly Speaker Datuk Al Hambra Tun Juhar.
Tun Juhar visited the Benoni Show Gallery and launched the Parklane Condominium show unit.
WSG Group managing director Datuk Susan Wong briefed Tun Juhar and delegation about the Parklane Condominium project and the plans WSG Group has for the Benoni Commercial Centre.
She said Tun Juhar was very interested and happy to know that there are plans to have a college operate in the commercial centre.
“We are now looking at a couple of colleges now and will make an offer to them,” she said.
Susan also disclosed that they will be constructing a sports arena in the commercial centre and that the two-storey building will house two futsal courts and 10 badminton courts.
According to Susan, construction of the anticipated Parklane Condominium in Benoni is expected to commence in March this year.
The project developed by WSG Group will comprise four 19-storey buildings that will house a total of 656 units of condominiums.
She said work on the first tower will start in March and is scheduled to be completed within two and a half years.
“We hope to have all four towers completed within five years,” she said.
The three-storey shop lots in Parklane City are completed and the owners will be receiving the keys to their properties after Chinese New Year.
The two-storey shop lots are almost ready and will be getting their Occupational Certificate (OC) after Chinese New Year, after which the keys will also be handed over to the owners.
Susan said owners of the double-storey houses can also expect to receive the keys to their property around the same time.
During the event, WSG Group also handed a donation of RM20,000 to Yayasan Nur Jauhar which Susan said was in support of the foundation’s efforts to help the needy.
