TYT rides Harley Davidson to Papar

KOTA KINABALU: Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin rode on a Harley Davidson to Benoni, Papar on Sunday.

He was accompanie­d by his wife Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni and about 50 big bike enthusiast­s including Sabah Commission­er of Police Datuk Jauteh Dikun and Deputy State Assembly Speaker Datuk Al Hambra Tun Juhar.

Tun Juhar visited the Benoni Show Gallery and launched the Parklane Condominiu­m show unit.

WSG Group managing director Datuk Susan Wong briefed Tun Juhar and delegation about the Parklane Condominiu­m project and the plans WSG Group has for the Benoni Commercial Centre.

She said Tun Juhar was very interested and happy to know that there are plans to have a college operate in the commercial centre.

“We are now looking at a couple of colleges now and will make an offer to them,” she said.

Susan also disclosed that they will be constructi­ng a sports arena in the commercial centre and that the two-storey building will house two futsal courts and 10 badminton courts.

According to Susan, constructi­on of the anticipate­d Parklane Condominiu­m in Benoni is expected to commence in March this year.

The project developed by WSG Group will comprise four 19-storey buildings that will house a total of 656 units of condominiu­ms.

She said work on the first tower will start in March and is scheduled to be completed within two and a half years.

“We hope to have all four towers completed within five years,” she said.

The three-storey shop lots in Parklane City are completed and the owners will be receiving the keys to their properties after Chinese New Year.

The two-storey shop lots are almost ready and will be getting their Occupation­al Certificat­e (OC) after Chinese New Year, after which the keys will also be handed over to the owners.

Susan said owners of the double-storey houses can also expect to receive the keys to their property around the same time.

During the event, WSG Group also handed a donation of RM20,000 to Yayasan Nur Jauhar which Susan said was in support of the foundation’s efforts to help the needy.
