KOTA KINABALU: Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is ushering the Year of the Wood Dragon by offering vibrant festive programmes and a delicious range of culinary creations to its guests and visitors.

Spreading joy and good luck for the auspicious occasion, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is showcasing a series of delicacies with the finest quality seasonal ingredient­s curated by the hotel’s talented culinary team.

At the Tanjung Ria Kitchen on February 9, guests can indulge in a reunion dinner which features an impressive buffet spread of over 180 dishes, including Chinese delicacies such as ‘Kou Rou’ (duck with tam), Chik Kut Teh (herbal chicken soup) and longevity noodles, as well as a selection of favourite savoury delights from Malay, Indian, and Western cuisines.

On February 10, a brunch buffet and dinner buffet will be offered at the hotel.

The brunch buffet offers tantalisin­g variety of food such as of traditiona­l black moss with ‘Lor Hon’ vegetable, vegetarian prawn mayonnaise, and sweet and sour vegetarian fish.

The dinner buffet features a delectable repertoire of New Year dishes such as herbal chicken, fish maw, steamed fresh fish, soft shell crab, braised mushroom, sea cucumber and dried oyster, roast chicken, roast duck, beer char siew and seafood on ice, among other delightful offerings.

On February 11, it will be a day to treat friends and business partners to the Festive Buffet Brunch at Tanjung Ria Kitchen for the ‘Kai Nian Fan’ or ‘opening of the year in Lunar New Year traditions, where patrons will be able to enjoy a delightful spread of dishes and celebrate the auspicious second day of the Lunar New Year in style.

Also on February 11, especially considerin­g it is customary for married daughters to visit their parents on the second day of Chinese New Year, Tanjung Ria Kitchen is the ideal venue to host a family gathering, where they can enjoy over 180 delectable dishes on offer for the dinner buffet.

On February 24, the hotel will host a Chap Goh Mei dinner buffet to mark the end of the Chinese New Year celebratio­ns, allowing patrons to save the hassle of cooking at home and spend quality time with loved ones and celebrate with a buffet dinner.

On February 10 and 11, those who are fans of the hotel’s dim sum will be delighted to discover that The Residence will have an island counter filled with a luxurious dim sum buffet spread over brunch.

Delicious takeout menu is available for guests who are hosting festivitie­s at home as Chef Chen Sau Ken and his team have prepared a specially crafted takeaway menu, highlighti­ng dishes such as steamed herbal chicken, Peking duck, and the ever-popular Yee Sang (Vegetarian, Salmon, Blue-fin Crab, Abalone), accompanie­d by gourmet classics.
