KOTA KINABALU: Vi Vacation and Travel Service Sdn Bhd on Wednesday celebrated Chinese New Year in conjunction with its 10th anniversary.

Its director, Vincent Sia, said the Chinese New Year celebration is an event for gathering with family members and customers, and to update them with the planning of the company in the next few years.

“Our services include outbound tour, inbound tour, meeting and incentive tour, worldwide ticket reservation, worldwide hotel reservation, overseas and local tour arrangement, visa applications and insurance.

“Our outbound tours have been our best sellers in the past years, and our future planning is to upgrade the services with premium vacations.

“Our outbound tours will be having better hotel, better food and more exclusive itinerary,” he said.

With more that 15 years’ experience in travel services, Sia said the company also started developing its inbound tours after receiving increasing demand post-pandemic.

“Right after the Movement Control Order period, travel services saw an increase of air fare, and many decided to travel domestic.

“With various tourism products, we managed to get a larger number of agents and domestic tourists from Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.

“With these positive development we are also glad receiving great support from the Sabah Tourism Board and commitment from the armed forces on security in Sabah. We are looking at more opportunities on both inbound and outbound services,” he added.

During the event yesterday, guests were entertained by lion dance performances and served with Chinese food.
