Robert retained as SabahSTAR Bingkor division chief

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Robert Tawik has been retained as Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (SabahSTAR) Bingkor division chief for the 2024-2027 term.

The Bingkor assemblyma­n was returned unopposed by delegates at the division’s triennial general meeting that was held last week.

The meeting was officiated by SabahSTAR Deputy President Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin and attended by 500 delegates, including observers.

The other positions in the division’s leadership were also won unconteste­d.

Incumbent Robert Paulus retained the Deputy Division Chief post while the three vice president posts were won by two incumbents, namely OKK Danil Pelangi, Akex Amit and KAN Toborou Sumping.

Meanwhile, seven committee members who also won unconteste­d, were Anggie Khatil, WKAN Sarudin Kinsil, Clearence Jokobus, Jailin Lian, Lawrence Melibin, Ambrose Salangkan and Paul Sitampat.

James Jennedy Bundoi and Denney Amit will hold the auditor positions for the 20242027 term.

Robert, when closing the meeting, announced the appointmen­t of Junior Fred and Rezzidin Robert as the Division Secretary and Division Treasurer respective­ly.

Robert expressed his gratitude to all the delegates for the trust given to him and for re-electing him to lead the division.

“This is a significan­t responsibi­lity that needs to be shouldered with integrity and focus,” he said and congratula­ted the division’s leadership for the 2024-2027 term.

Robert called on all SabahSTAR members to continue supporting the party and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

“This is our party that focuses on fighting for the rights of Sabah as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63),” he said.
