Henry Lee appointed as agent for SCCC liaison office in Guangdong
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) has appointed Henry Lee, Overseas Diplomatic Director of SCCC Young Entrepreneurs, as the agent for its liaison office in Guangdong Province to promote economic and trade exchanges and business development between Sabah and Guangdong Province, China.
Speaking at the establishment ceremony of the Sabah China Chamber of Commerce Liaison Office in Guangdong on Thursday, Henry expressed his gratitude to Chiew Heng Hock, chairman of SCCC Young Entrepreneurs for arranging his appointment as a member of the SCCC Liaison Office and thanked SCCC president Datuk Frankie Liew for joining the youth entrepreneur group.
As a permanent member of the SCCC and concurrently serving as the Overseas Diplomatic Director of Sabah Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs, Henry has long been engaged in business in Guangdong.
He will provide information and assistance on economic and trade activities and other business activities in Guangdong to the designated members of SCCC. He will also help designated members attract investment in Guangdong and provide commercial assistance and connections.
In addition, Henry is also the Overseas Strategy Director and Diamond Grader of Hong Kong Golden Diamond Family, actively promoting the main products of Hong Kong Golden Diamond Family, namely 999 pure gold.
Henry stated that Foshan is gradually becoming a city with increasingly active imports and exports. As a liaison officer of SCCC, he looks forward to more cooperation between businesses in Sabah and Foshan, introducing more unique products from Sabah and allowing Chinese compatriots to see different and unique products appearing in Foshan. He also firmly stated that he will fulfill his responsibilities as a liaison officer of Sabah and China.
Meanwhile, chairman Chen Xiuling of Hong Kong Golden Diamond Family warmly welcomed Liew and SCCC members to Foshan.
She stated that as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is an economic and manufacturing powerhouse with abundant technological innovation resources and strong innovative capabilities, Sabah should strive to be a pioneer in innovation.
“We should seize opportunities and forge ahead together in this meaningful year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.”
She mentioned that according to the latest official data, the first inland port with a cargo throughput of over one billion tons in Guangdong is born in Foshan, indicating that Foshan is gradually becoming a city with increasingly active imports and exports.
Therefore, she encouraged Sabah businessmen to invest in Foshan and welcomed them to introduce exquisite and unique products from Sabah.
