Sabah entrepreneurs visit technology firms in Shenzhen
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) continued study tour in Guangdong, China by visiting Senruo New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and Xinrui Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen.
Led by its president, Datuk Frankie Liew, they were warmly welcomed by Senruo New Material chairman Yang Ruohan and Xinrui Energy chairman Wang Jiping.
Founded in 2019, Senruo focuses on the research and application of phase-change energy storage new materials. Their material technology is at the forefront globally, characterized by high energy storage, stability and long lifespan, capable of up to 7,000 cycles, leading in the world.
It is reported that their exclusive -70-degree aviation safety materials have broken the deadlock with Europe and the United States, and reached a deep strategic cooperation with Marubeni Corporation of Japan.
Currently, their products are being applied in the global logistics field, providing products and services for global pharmaceuticals, chemicals, semiconductors, high-end foods, and other clients.
Their client list includes leading domestic and foreign enterprises such as Toyo Chemical, Changqing Electronics, COSCO Shipping, Huada Group, Kexing and WuXi AppTec.
It is reported that Senruo’s phase-change energy storage materials have been selected for the “First Batch of Demonstrative Application Guidance Catalogue of Key New Materials in Shenzhen (2022 Edition),” and in 2022, Senruo successfully passed as a high-tech enterprise.
Four core technologies were also selected for the “First Batch of Low-Carbon Supermarket Public Catalogue of Futian District, Shenzhen (2022 Edition),” where Senruo New Materials was the only startup selected.
Senruo’s phase-change energy storage air conditioning technology and low-carbon energy storage cold storage system technology address the issue of grid load concentration, achieving peak saving.
On the one hand, it balances the grid load by using off-peak electricity at night, achieving energy conservation and emission reduction. On the other hand, it reduces the energy consumption of peak electric air conditioners, with operating costs reduced by up to 60%, achieving more than 20% energy savings compared to traditional ice storage cooling solutions.
Senruo has a strong firstmover advantage in the dualcarbon track, which is just beginning in China and is a key project supported by the Chinese government.
Subsequently, Liew, accompanying the SCCC Young Entrepreneur Committee, including Xu Weibin, also visited the factory site under the guidance of Wang, where they were briefed on Xinrui Energy’s products and operational technologies.
Wang stated that while Xinrui Energy focuses on its core business, it continues to nurture and develop core product technologies and industrial supporting resources, greatly enhancing its product technology competitiveness and comprehensive strength by addressing the company’s industrial supporting weaknesses.
The sodium-ion battery project, NaYi New Energy, invested by Xinrui Energy, is located in Zhuhai High-Tech Zone and is currently the leading industrialization team in the sodium battery industry, ranking top three in the industry in both technical parameters and shipment scale.
Additionally, Xinrui has made deep layouts in the fields of sodium-ion battery core materials, lithium-ion battery materials, cascaded utilization and battery material recycling, battery swapping and energy leasing, and power station project investments.
“The company’s mission is to ‘illuminate every corner of the world with the light of new energy,’ dedicating itself to providing clean, safe, intelligent energy storage systems and new energy solutions, striving to create a world-class energy Internet of Things platform.”
Liew also visited the Shenzhen Airport Import Cold Chain Center.
SCCC organized the “50 Years of China-Malaysia Diplomatic Relations - Study Tour of Guangdong Enterprises”.
The aim to mark this year’s 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and to deepen cooperation and exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative.
