KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) vows to reinstate the Health and Public Wellbeing and the Education and Innovation Ministries if it becomes the government after the next state elections, said its Kota Kinabalu secretary Loi Kok Liang.

He said when the party was in power, it had set up the two ministries in preparation of decentralising the two sectors, but it was then discontinued by the current State Government.

Lou emphasised the urgent need for these departments to reform and improve the situation in Sabah.

“Therefore, if Warisan were to return to power, the Health and Public Wellbeing Ministry and the Education and Innovation Ministry will be reinstated to contribute to the development of Sabah,” he said after a Backto-School Haircut Programme at a barbershop near the city centre here on Sunday.

Loi said the programme, which was organised with the youth team, had attracted many participants from parents who brought their children.

He extended his thanks to hairstylist Willy Soo and his team for their professional cooperation in providing the children with a new look for free.

Meanwhile, 80 students received free haircut before the opening of school at Buhavan Square in Penampang on Sunday.

The programme organised by Warisan Wira Penampang was aimed to alleviate the financial strain of families during these challenging economic times.

The students also received school bags from Persatuan Pengimpot & Peniaga Kenderaan Melayu Malaysia (PEKEMA Sabah branch).

Warisan Wira chief Terence Aualso reached out to the people in Penampang and understand their problems during the event.

Au emphasized the urgent need to address water supply issues in Sabah, citing the detrimental impact on daily life and increased financial strain on residents.

He urged the government, particularly the GRS administration, to take proactive measures to resolve these issues promptly.

Also present was Warisan Wira Penampang representative Yong Tain Vui.
