JCI Intan celebrates International Women’s Day with Petals and Plates event
KOTA KINABALU: In a vibrant celebration of femininity and empowerment, JCI Intan, an esteemed organisation of women leaders, commemorated International Women’s Day on March 9, with a captivating event named ‘Petals and Plates’, set against the picturesque backdrop of Sokid Villa in Kota Kinabalu.
With more than 50 passionate attendees gathered, the focus was on nurturing positive change and leadership development among women aged 18 to 40.
At the heart of JCI Intan’s mission lies a commitment to providing impactful leadership opportunities for young women.
Grounded in their four pillars
— Individual Development, Community Service, Business, and International — the event served as a celebration of women’s achievements while igniting a flame of inspiration for future endeavours.
Their aim was to fortify the bonds among JCI Intan members and alumni while extending a heartfelt invitation for new members to join their sisterhood.
Through interactive workshops and activities, the participants were encouraged to explore their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The Flowers Frame Workshop stood out as a highlight of the day, offering a platform for creativity and collaboration as attendees delved into the art of floral arrangement. This handson experience fostered not only artistic expression but also a sense of unity among participants.
Furthermore, the event provided a platform for JCI Intan members and alumni to showcase their entrepreneurial ventures through open booths, reinforcing their dedication to fostering economic empowerment among women.
