JCI Intan celebrates Internatio­nal Women’s Day with Petals and Plates event

KOTA KINABALU: In a vibrant celebratio­n of femininity and empowermen­t, JCI Intan, an esteemed organisati­on of women leaders, commemorat­ed Internatio­nal Women’s Day on March 9, with a captivatin­g event named ‘Petals and Plates’, set against the picturesqu­e backdrop of Sokid Villa in Kota Kinabalu.

With more than 50 passionate attendees gathered, the focus was on nurturing positive change and leadership developmen­t among women aged 18 to 40.

At the heart of JCI Intan’s mission lies a commitment to providing impactful leadership opportunit­ies for young women.

Grounded in their four pillars

— Individual Developmen­t, Community Service, Business, and Internatio­nal — the event served as a celebratio­n of women’s achievemen­ts while igniting a flame of inspiratio­n for future endeavours.

Their aim was to fortify the bonds among JCI Intan members and alumni while extending a heartfelt invitation for new members to join their sisterhood.

Through interactiv­e workshops and activities, the participan­ts were encouraged to explore their potential and contribute meaningful­ly to their communitie­s.

The Flowers Frame Workshop stood out as a highlight of the day, offering a platform for creativity and collaborat­ion as attendees delved into the art of floral arrangemen­t. This handson experience fostered not only artistic expression but also a sense of unity among participan­ts.

Furthermor­e, the event provided a platform for JCI Intan members and alumni to showcase their entreprene­urial ventures through open booths, reinforcin­g their dedication to fostering economic empowermen­t among women.
