Akitek Bersatu Sabah Alumni launched

KOTA KINABALU: Architects gathered at a reunion here for the inception and launching of the Alumni Of Architects from Akitek Bersatu Sabah (ABSA) on Saturday, April 12.

The first Akitek Bersatu Sabah Alumni discussion was initiated at a dinner hosted by Ar Dr Tan in Beverly Hotel, here in 2014.

“These joys and happiness have brought all of us back to the times of the good old days,” said ABSA President Ar Aziz Mahfar.

“The formation of ABSA to come together for sharing and celebratin­g especially in archiving and documentin­g of knowledge by publicatio­n/ journal for future generation­s is commendabl­e. As the architectu­ral industry progresses digitally, the basic fundamenta­l and principles of design remain the same. ABSA shall be a platform to strengthen the continuing learning process in the ever changing world,” he said.

The launching of Project Execution Plan (PEP) Manual 2024 complete with Guidelines And Forms For supervisio­n Works complement­s the CCC.

“This will be the first journal published by ABSA,” said Chiew Bong.

ABSA represents a community for knowledge advancemen­t, intellectu­al interactio­n and community developmen­t.

“We will start our journey once again with ABSA. This time it is about giving and contributi­ng back to the society,” said ABSA Chairman Dr Tan Jun Kwang.

“It is our strong belief to continuous­ly extending community services to build be er society rendered with the most altruistic and passionate commitment,“he said.

Also present was President of Sabah Thalassemi­a Society Francis Mujim to receive a contributi­on cheque.
