USO expands with third facility launched in Labuan

LABUAN: Universal Serviced Offices (USO) and Management Ltd, Labuan’s leading provider of serviced office facilities, inaugurate­d its newest flagship facility yesterday at Malaysia’s internatio­nal business and financial centre (IBFC) of Labuan.

The third facility, situated at Level 13 (C), Block 4 of Financial Park Labuan, was officially opened by Associatio­n of Labuan Trust Companies chairman Datuk Chin Chee Kee.

Chin expressed his confidence in USO’s commitment to support the growth of the financial industry by delivering worldclass serviced office spaces and management services.

“Companies like Universal Serviced Offices play a pivotal role in facilitati­ng the establishm­ent of numerous businesses.

“Their collaborat­ion with industry stakeholde­rs ensures a strong foundation for businesses in Labuan, benefittin­g both the local economy and its people,” Chin said during the launch.

He said compliance with these requiremen­ts entails the establishm­ent of physical offices with full-time employees, driving the demand for office spaces in the Labuan IBFC.

Labuan IBFC currently hosts over 5,000 active companies, including prominent financial institutio­ns such as banks, insurance companies, trust companies, leasing firms and commodity traders.

Chin underscore­d the vital role of office facilities in supporting the establishm­ent and growth of registered companies, thereby stimulatin­g the local economy.

USO regional manager Imelda Thadeus elaborated on the features of the new facility, which includes modern workstatio­ns, fully serviced private offices, and amenities such as high-speed Internet access and contempora­ry business lounges.

“Noteworthy additions to the latest facility are the USO Elite corner, offering offices with panoramic ocean views, and a wellness corridor,” she said.

She said the new business centre, with a gross area of 5,508 square feet, enhances USO’s capacity to accommodat­e the evolving needs of Labuan’s business community.

Imelda reiterated USO’s commitment to supporting local businesses by prioritisi­ng the procuremen­t of goods and services from the Labuan community.
