KOTA KINABALU: Two additions to the Foton family, the Foton View CS2 2.0T Automatic Window Van and the Foton View C2 2.0T Automatic Panel Van, are now available for sale here.

Handak BCM Chief Executive Officer Datuk Donald Chu said the Foton View CS2 2.0T Automatic Window Van represents a significant milestone in the commercial vehicle industry, featuring a six-speed automatic transmission – the first of its kind for commercial vans.

“With multiple drive modes and high and low temperature adaptive functions, drivers can expect unparalleled control and adaptability in any situation. Paired with a robust 2.0L turbodiesel engine delivering 330 Nm torque and 101 kW power, this van ensures both efficiency and performance,” he said at the launching ceremony at the Jesselton Twin Towers, Sales Gallery on Tuesday.

Safety wise, he said that the Foton View CS2 is equipped with advanced safety features including electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, dual bags, and advanced driving assistance systems such as autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning.

“This van prioritises the well-being of both drivers and passengers,” said Chu.

He also said the van has a spacious cabin, able to accommodate up to 13 seats, including the driver.

“Comfort is guaranteed for all occupants,” he said.

As for the Foton View C2 2.0T Autopanel van, Chu said that it also features a six-speed automatic transmission, marking a significant milestone in the commercial van industry.

With the same multiple drive modes and high and low temperature adaptive functions, drivers can expect the same level of control and adaptability, he said.

He added that the van is powered by the same robust 2.0L turbodiesel engine.

“This van offers exceptional performance and reliability,” he said.

Meanwhile, UM Group Managing Director Datuk Chok Yun Kiong said they already have 10 bookings for the automatic transmission vans and said that it was encouraging.

“Thank you for your support. We will continue to strongly back up the after sales and warranty so that you have peace of mind to have the Foton van as your fleet,” he said at the event.
