Aziz honoured as Guru of Bodybuilding
KOTA KINABALU: Abd Aziz Ahmad’s significant contribution to bodybuilding won him the Guru Bodybuilding of The Year Award at the recent Enrich Sports Awards in Selangor.
The former national bodybuilding coach, who has 40 years of experience in the sport, not only excelled in coaching but has also facilitated courses for Certification in Specific Bodybuilding Levels One, Two and Three as well as for state and national bodybuilding judges.
Aziz has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many aspiring bodybuilders and significantly contributing to the sport’s growth in the region.
Sabah Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) president Joannes Staneslous said the award was well-deserved for Aziz, who is renowned for his knowledge and expertise in the sport.
“His recognition as the Guru of Bodybuilding is not just a personal accolade but also a testament to the increasing importance of fitness and bodybuilding in promoting health and well-being among Malaysians,” said Joannes.
The prestigious event was attended by notable figures including Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Hannah Yeoh as well as Krishna Kumar A/L Kalimuthu who is the president of Enrich Bodybuilding Club, which organised the award ceremony.
