Good response to community programme

The community programme organised by various government agencies in Tasik Biru Bau recently is said to have received overwhelmi­ng response.

A statement issued here yesterday said Assistant Community Services Minister Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, who is Tasik Biru assemblyma­n, praised the organiser and local people for their support.

“He ( Nansian) also praised Kuching Resident Zamhari Saidin, Bau district officer Inting Nyami and various government agencies, including Malaysian Armed Forces and the Agricultur­e Department for their support to make the event a success.

“The programme was well supported by the people,” the statement said, adding that the event attended by about 500 participan­ts was for the people in Bau to get dental service and health screening.
