A ‘Magic’ touch for iCube Innovation

KUCHING: The newly launched innovative incubator centre, iCube Innovation Sdn Bhd (iCube), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) with the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creative Centre ( Magic).

iCube was officially appointed as Magic’s regional community partner to promote entrepreneurship development in Sarawak, and the partnership meant iCube will provide a fully furnished and dynamic co-working space for young entrepreneurs.

According to iCube founder cum chairman, Dato Patrick Liew, iCube aimed to help young adults evolve into “contributing citizens”.

“We want to create outstanding individuals who will in turn contribute to larger economic plans for Sarawak. With support and partnership with the government and private sectors, we are confident to bring about a win-win situation that will result in positive social impacts,” he said.

The MoU signing between iCube and Magic was witnessed by Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office ( Promotion of Technical Education) Datu Len Talif Salleh.

Magic chief operating officer Norita Ja’afar, who inked for Magic, said that there was vast growth potentials for youths in the state.

“This MoU signing with iCube is one of Magic’s efforts to continue supporting and fostering strong communities in Sarawak, where entrepreneurs are able to easily connect and share their ideas and solutions with each other,” said Norita.

Also present at the MoU signing ceremony were Multimedia Development Corporation head of start-up and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Muhundhan Kamarapullai, and Magic executive director Ebi Azly Abdullah.
