PBB Youth machinery all ready to support candidate for Bekenu

-

MIRI: The machinery of PBB Youth Bekenu is all geared up to ensure that the party’s candidate for the seat would win big in the next state election.

PBB Youth Bekenu deputy chief Babu Lasan said having full support from fellow state Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties — namely SPDP, PRS and SUPP — would pave the way for the coalition to maintain its victory.

“PBB Bekenu is standing 100 per cent behind Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem and will help BN win big in this coming election,” he told thesundaypost here.

Babu said as far as PBB Youth Bekenu was concerned, Adenan was a true leader whose priority was the people’s welfare as well as bringing development to the rural areas.

“We are putting high hopes on BN’s top leadership to entrust a PBB candidate to contest in Bekenu in the polls.

“We’re confident that BN is capable of maintaining its victory in Bekenu, based on the support shown by the constituents there, especially PBB members.”

Fours names have been mentioned as potential PBB candidates for Bekenu — Datu Jumastapha Lamat, Councillor Anuar Ahmad, Sarkawi Suhaili and Usop Sual.

“They are all Bekenu locals — each with his own specialty, and all are active on the ground.

“It is the hope of PBB members in Bekenu that one of them would be chosen to contest as PBB candidate in Bekenu,” Babu pointed out.

He also added that the suggestion to place a PBB candidate in Bekenu was not ‘something personal’; rather, it was the wish of many Bekenu folk who wanted to see BN maintain its victory there.

“Should this hope be fulfilled, we would promise to ensure a big win for BN in Bekenu. This would be a gift from us to our beloved chief minister,” he said.
