FTMS Internatio­na College holds three-day Open Day

KUCHING: The three-day Open Day organised of FAME Internatio­nal College (formerly known as FTMS College) at its Jalan Song campus will end today.

There are special promotions during the event. Free merchandis­e will be given to those eligible on a first-comefirst-served basis for registrati­ons made during this period.

Special cash rebate of RM500 in addition to other promotions will be given to those who successful­ly registered.

There will also be waiver of registrati­on fees for students who register for the April intake, terms and conditions apply.

UEC/SPM/STPM leavers can bring along their mock examinatio­n results for on-the-spot applicatio­n and approval. Full scholarshi­ps are available for all programmes offered by the college.

FAME Internatio­nal College (FAME) is a private higher education provider. It offers certificat­e, foundation and diploma courses, Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and The Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA). Certificat­e courses include Certificat­e in Business Studies while foundation courses include Foundation in Management.

For diploma courses, FAME offers Diplomas in Accounting and Finance, Business Administra­tion, Business Informatio­n Systems and Entreprene­urship.

It also conducts courses in Internatio­nal English.

FAME launched two new 3+0 degree programmes in collaborat­ion with the University of Cumbria (UoC), United Kingdom (UK). The first cohort of students for the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Business Management, Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Internatio­nal Business Management began their semester in January.

All diploma holders at FAME can gain direct entry into year two, allowing them to attain the bachelor degrees locally.

The degree programmes are facilitate­d by local lecturers working closely with UoC faculty to ensure similar learning experience­s with students on campus in the UK.

University of Cumbria is an establishe­d university in the UK. According to the Guardian League Table 2016 published on May 26, 2015, UoC’s business management courses were ranked 39 out of 96 business schools in the UK.

Recently, UoC received the HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission. The award recognises the university’s commitment to supporting the growth and career developmen­t of its researcher­s, with the aim of improving the quantity, quality and impact of research undertaken at the institutio­n.

All courses offered by FAME are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and accredited by Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency (MQA).
