Madonna announces a special show for her Australian fans
MADONNA has announced a special intimate show for her Australian fans as part of her Rebel Heart tour reports Billboard.
The Australian and New Zealand leg of her tour kicks off yesterday at Auckland’s Vector Arena.
The exclusive new show, dubbed “Tears of a Clown”, has been scheduled to take place at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Mar 10 and promises to be a mix of music, art and comedy.
Commenting on the announcement Madonna, 57, said in a statement, “I wanted to do something special for Australia because you have been so patient and waited so long — the ‘Tears of a Clown’ show will make its debut on Mar 10. Performance art, comedy, story telling and music of course! Especially for you my Rebel Heart fans Down Under.”
Only lucky fans who signed up to Madonna’s fan club before Mar 1 will be eligible to win tickets and to be in with a chance they must be over 18 and must upload photos of themselves excited about Madonna’s return to Australia. Details can be found on Madonna.com.
The singer last performed in Australia in 1993 on her ‘Girlie Show World Tour’ in support of her fifth album ‘Erotica’.
