KUCHING: The fi rst Country & Western Nite organised by Bidayuh Country Music Lovers is a success, attracting more than 500 people to the event held at a leading hotel here Thursday night.

William Ding, on behalf of the organisers, said it was an enjoyable party as revellers came in their best cowboy and cowgirl costumes and they danced the night away to the tunes of country music and oldies.

“It is a unique party whereby we have people from all walks of life interacting with each other regardless of their status. We have judges, lawyers, politicians, civil servants, professionals from various sectors and even those who came from the ‘kampung’
