-

KUCHING: TRC Synergy Bhd ( TRC Synergy) is one of the construction companies that was being shortlisted for the remaining eight packages of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak.

Following a company’s briefing, the research arm of Public Investment Bank Bhd ( PublicInvest Research) gathered that the company has been shortlisted as one of the contractors for the Pan-Borneo highway projects, with each of the package valued at about RM1.4 billion to RM1.5 billion respectively .

Meanwhile, it was reportedly earlier that eight major works packages worth up to RM10 billion had been finalised and would be awarded by the end of this month.

The works packag e s, averaging 60 km to 90 km each, are under Phase 1 of the highway development works covering a distance of 746 km.

Publ i c I nvest Research believed TRC Synergy stood a good chance to secure a package of the highway project due to the company’s track record of performing construction works in Sarawak over the last 16 years.

The research firm opined that if the company managed to secure a package of the highway project, TRC Synergy’s job win could potentially increased to RM1 billion this year.

Hence, PublicInvest Research remained optimistic on the outlook of the company.

The research firm opined that in the event TRC Synergy were to win a package of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak project, the company’s stocks could be re- rated.

Earlier this year, the research arm of Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd (Kenanga Research) in a report dated April 1 listed eight other potential consortiums of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak.
