New scarf collection draws inspiration from Parisian Restaurant

-

KUALA LUMPUR: dUCk, a local lifestyle brand of scarves, has drawn inspiration from the interior design of a renowned Parisian for its latest collection to be unveiled on Friday.

Brand founder and fashion blogger Vivy Yusof said the limited edition dUCk x Bowerhaus scarves - available in three shades of pink, jade and grey - was the result of a collaboration with Bowerhaus handmade jewellery designers Shentel Lee and Elizabeth Lee.

“The design of the scarves was inspired by my trip to Paris recently. When I stepped into the restaurant, its utter opulence and 18th century grandeur of the atmosphere was truly decadent. I was lost in the ornate interiors of Le Meurice (restaurant).

“I returned to Malaysia and couldn’t wait to share my experience at Le Meurice with Shentel and Elizabeth and, voila, dUCk x Bowerhaus was born,” she told Bernama at the media launch of the product yesterday.

Noting that the collection took cues from the light- drenched rooms of the restaurant, Vivy said the scarves were a dedication to all women and a reminder for them to always seize the moment and chase their dreams.

Vivy, also a co-founder of fashion e- commerce company FashionValet, said the limited edition dUCk x Bowerhaus scarves would retail at RM400 each at dUCk’s newly- opened boutique at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, online via FashionValet.com, as well as at the FashionValet outlet in Bangsar Village.

Meanwhile, Shentel said Bowerhaus had always wanted the Bowerhaus and dUCk brands to come together seamlessly.

“We want to capture the intricate details of Le Meurice’s architecture, and so we did a lot of research on French interiors of the time. We just knew that we had to incorporate golden laurels and pearls in our design,” she said. — Bernama
