Organiser eyes collection of 150 pints at blood donation drive in Crown Towers on Dec 4

KUCHING: The Maybank Private and Premier Wealth Centre here is organising a blood donation drive that targets to collect 150 pints from blood donors.

The event will be jointly run with Sarawak Tung Yang Clan Associatio­n on the ground floor of Crown Towers at No 88, Jalan Pending here this Sunday ( Dec 4), where personnel from Sarawak General Hospital ( SGH) Blood Bank Unit will also be present to assist.

According to Maybank Private and Premier Wealth Centre head ( Kuching) Sim Min Nah, the drive is part of the bank’s annual corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) programmes.

“We are inviting all our staff members, clients and members of the public to join us in this campaign and bleed for good cause,” she said during a press conference held at the centre in Crown Towers here yesterday.

“There will also be a free blood screening on that day. Individual­s with no serious health issue are most welcome to participat­e.”

Sim said Maybank Private and Premier Wealth also welcomed all kinds of support for this noble activity, especially in the form of volunteers.

The press conference yesterday was also attended by Maybank Sarawak regional director Nasir Khan and its senior relationsh­ip manager Billy Jong Shun Hie, as well as Sarawak Tung Yang Clan Associatio­n – Youth chairman Jong Lik Khing and his committee members.
