Miri Country Music Fest returns with fourth installation

MIRI: This city will soon be humming to ‘Country and Western’ music as Miri Country Music Fest (MCMF) 2017 returns with a fourth installation.

MCMF will be taking place on Feb 25 and 26 next year along Brighton beach near Parkcity Everly Hotel here.

The festival, which was the first of its kind in Malaysia having been established in 2014, will run for two days next year instead of just one in previous editions.

Brighton Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd has agreed to be the official tour operator for the event, covering the needs of participating bands and festival-goers.

The packages should appeal to tourists as they vary from local day and night tours including animal feeding at the crocodile farm, Lambir Hills National Park, visits to Iban longhouses, Loagan Bunut National Park, Borneo Tropical Rainforest, Mulu National Park which include the hike to the pinnacles, Bario Highlands, Niah National Park, beach hopping which include the trip to Luconia shoal diving, and Kampong Ayer for the ‘Brunei Heritage Tour’.

MCMF hopes to play a role in strengthening the tourism industry via involvement of local players like Parkcity Everly Hotel as the official venue, Brighton Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd, Miri Taxi Association and Imperial Hotel Miri.
