Mouth-watering Christmas fare at Grand Continenta­l Kuching

KUCHING: ‘ Tis the season to celebrate with family and friends, and Hotel Grand Continenta­l Kuching is offering you the place for it.

This coming Christmas Eve, feast on their festive buffet complete with a traditiona­l Christmas turkey and roast leg of lamb at Brasserie Kuching Coffeehous­e.

An array of mouth-watering dishes are available, including the tasty braised beef with whole shallots and abalone mushrooms, and the ultimate comfort food – potato au gratin which melts in your mouth.

Christmas Eve dinner would not be complete without Christmas pudding and apple pie, but do also try all the other refreshing treats available to complete your meal.

If you are celebratin­g at home, Brasserie Kuching Coffeehous­e has takeaways open for booking now. Between today and Dec 15, order a roasted lamb leg (around 2.5kg) at RM220 nett, a sirloin roast ( 3kg) for RM280 net or a roasted turkey (4.5-5kg) at RM380.

Meanwhile, those who prefer to celebrate the arrival of the New Year can look forward to more good food at the hotel’s New Year’s Eve Dinner and Dance.

Much like the Christmas Eve buffet, diners can expect hearty fare such as a traditiona­l roast leg of lamb and roasted strip loin of beef. On the buffet table are items such as chicken fillet with bell peppers and pepper salsa, and Szechuan-style deep-fried sea bass.

Pricing per head for both dinner events are RM89 nett for adults, RM48 nett for children between 5 to 12-years- old, and RM72 nett for senior citizens ( 55 years and above). Children aged below 5 eat for free.

As their special community project this year, Hotel Grand Continenta­l Kuching has set up a Christmas wish tree in their lobby where guests can purchase a star to hang there with their message.

The paper stars come in three colours and values: green at RM50, yellow at RM20 and red at RM10. It will be available from now until Dec 30 with all proceeds from the sales to benefit the Sarawak Women for Women Society (SWWS). For more informatio­n or for reservatio­ns, call 082-230399.
