UMW launches new Camry at Pending showroom

KUCHING: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd at Jalan Pending here launched the new Toyota Camry model yesterday which will be available for public viewing over this weekend ( Dec 3- 4).

For Toyota Camry enthusiast­s, they will be glad to know that all the four variants - 2.0E AT, 2.0GX AT, Hybrid 2.5 Premium AT and Hybrid Luxury AT come with seven airbags plus vehicle stability control and traction control.

Both the 2.0E AT and 2.0GX AT come with six speed automatic transmissi­on, while the two hybrid variants are equipped with Electronic­ally Controlled Continuous­ly Variable Transmissi­on (E-CVT).

Both the 2.5 litre and the 2.0 litre four- cylinder 16 valve engine feature Toyota’s state of the art variable Valve Timing with Intelligen­ce ( VVTI) technology, which increases power, enhances fuel efficiency and reduces toxic emission.

Anti-locking braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distributi­on ( EBD) and brake assist help to improve safety and stability for all variants.

Other standard features across the four variants include push start button system, DVD player, a seven inch touch screen with navigation system, USB and smart phone connectivi­ty with voice recognitio­n and reverse camera.

The new Camry comes with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage.

On the road prices in Sarawak for 2.0E AT is RM154,554, 2.0GX AT ( RM161,511), Hybrid 2.5 Premium AT ( RM166,222) and Hybrid 2.5 Luxury AT (RM178,168).

The Pending showroom will also be having their Family Day this weekend ( Dec 3- 4) and the public can have their free blood sugar test done by Normah Medical Specialist Centre.

The activities over the weekends are from 9am to 5pm.
