Regal Group welcomes two new anchor tenants for Tropics City

-

KUCHING: Regal Group yesterday welcome two groups of companies as its anchor tenants at its enrichment mall in Tropics City.

They are IMH Group of Companies and Dreammaster Corporation Sdn Bhd, which will set their outlets in Tropics City, the first of its kind in Kuching.

IMH will provide services such as education, child care and arts and culture to the residents and patrons while the latter will provide bedding accessories, cushions, bolsters pillows and sofas and other exciting products for patrons of the mall.

T he memor a ndum of understandings ( MOUs) between Regal Group and IMH Group of Companies and Dreammaster Corporation Sdn Bhd were signed at the Regal Group show room at Jalan Tun Jugah yesterday.

Representing Regal Groups was its execut ive director Nicholas Wong while IMH Group of Companies was represented by its executive director & director of studies Dr Geraldine Law- Lee and Dreammaster Corporation Sdn Bhd by its director Brian Ong.

Speaking to reporters at the signing ceremony, Wong said the group’s enrichment mall is set to bring excitement to the heart of Jalan Song.

As the market now consists of a lot of apartments and condominiums with gated guarded services and facilities, Regal Group was trying to present something on a different level from the current market through the concept of its enrichment mall.

“The enrichment concept was actual ly inspired from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, whereby in those urban cities everyone is busy and has lesser time to go around,” he said.

Wong said as an example, an enrichment mall can offer a retail destination and shopping haven where mothers can enjoy some ‘self- time’ after sending their chi ldren to learning centres conducting lessons on arts, ballets or music classes within the vicinity of the mall.

“While their kids are at the learning centres, parents can use the time to do things they want to do and pamper themselves at the mall,” he added.

Wong believed that Jalan Song is a strategic spot to set up the enrichment mall as it is located within the central area.

He said the mall’s easy access to amenities such as Borneo Medical Centre, tHe Spring Shopping Mal l, CityOne Megamal l , Kuching International Airport and Kuching town area, makes it an unbeatable location.

He noted that with all these commercial flow, Regal Group would ensure a good mix of tenants within the enrichment mall.

The enrichment will feature a wide variety of food and beverages outlets to cater to the needs and wants of residents and patrons adding that the group would also ensure that these F& B outlets would complement each other rather than competing with each other.

Aside from the plenty selections of F& B outlets, residents and patrons would also have easy access to salons, spa, health centres and convenience stores at the mall.

On the apartment, Wong said it ranges from 600 square feet to 1,400 square feet in size. It also comes with the options of one, two or three bedrooms with each unit will be provided with one to two parking lots.

“The best par t is the maintenance fee will be very low, the lowest in the market, at 12 cents,” he said.

Wong said Regal Group was able to keep its maintenance fee at low rate because it privately owns the clubhouse.

He said if residents want the option of using the clubhouse, they can opt to join as members adding that the clubhouse is also open to the public.

The clubhouse has various modern facilities and programmes to cater to the needs of its members. There will be two swimming pools – one for normal swimming usage while the other will be an aquatic gym, the first in Kuching.

Al l in all , through the development of Tropics City, Regal Group aims to promote the concept of ‘ Live, Safe, Work, Play’ to its customers.

Designed based on patrons’ lifestyle needs and wants, Tropics City seeks to offer leisure convenience to parents while providing their children a platform for creative learning within the enrichment mall.

Security wise, Regal Group will ensure that the property is highly-protected with security system.

Al so Tropic s Ci ty can help residents to bring their businesses to the next level with its small- off ice, home- of f ice (SOHO) and commercial units.

“Busine s s people who work from home can do their businesses at SOHO or they can have a signature address.

“Tropics City will be a professional signature address as the place to meet for business,” he said.

He added that the installment of fibre- optic high speed internet in Tropics City as the backbone for all internet services would make it more convenient for business operations, creating a great business environment and ensuring the best investment returns for businesses.
