UMW, Rimbunan Hijau roll out all-new Innova, Corolla Altis
MIRI: UMW Toyota Motor and Rimbunan Hijau Auto Services Sdn Bhd yesterday unveiled the all-new Innova and Corolla Altis at their respective showrooms here.
The Innova is now classified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle ( EEV) by the Malaysian government, the first Toyota MPV to have this qualification.
With this qualification, UMW Toyota Motor has passed back the benefit to customers and reduced the price.
Many convenient features are incorporated in the all-new Innova; the smart entry and start system, automatic climate control for front and rear passengers and a cooler box at the front. Noise levels are also lower inside the cabin.
The Innova is powered by a 2.0-litre four- cylinder dual VVTi ( Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) engine that provides improved performance and fuel efficiency.
There are also signi f icant upgrades in safety which include Vehicle Stability Control ( VSC), Traction Control, ABS brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution ( EBD) and Brake Assist ( BA) and Hill- Start Assist Control (available for the Innova G Variant).
Additionally, seven airbags are provided for increased protection.
The body structure has been strengthened with high tensile steel and as a result, the new Innova has been rated 5- star according to the Asean NCAP safety test.
The Innova comes in three variants – 2.0E Manual, 2.0E Automatic and 2.0G Automatic. On the road prices ( including GST with insurance) start from RM111,066. The upgraded Corolla Altis also gets seven airbags, VSC, Traction Control ABS brakes with EBD and BA as well as a 5- star safety rating from Asean NCAP.
It comes in three variants namely 2.0V, 1.8 G and 1.8E in which all are automatic transmissions. On the road prices start from RM122,632. Changes to the Altis include front and rear bumpers with new grille design and LED daytime running lights.
Both the Innova and Altis come with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage.
