This is an annual event organised by ACS, and Methodist Church SCAC is the host for this year with the theme ‘For God so loved the world’.

The service will start with a hand bell musical presentation by Sungai Maong Methodist Church followed by the opening dance by Ching Kwong Methodist Church.

There will be recital of scriptures and prayers in different languages by ACS members and the sermon is expected to be delivered by Methodist Church SCAC president Rev Dato Su Chii Ann. The combined choir will present a Christmas medley, while the Kuching Youth Chorale will sing ‘We are the Reason’.

All are welcome to the joint Christmas service, which will be conducted in English with translation to Mandarin.

ACS secretary general Ambrose Linang said: “This is a crucial time for Christians to come together in fellowship to praise God and to enrich one’s spiritual power through prayers and songs.

“It is also a time to pray for our beloved country and for the spirit of goodwill to prevail among races and cultures. Let us not allow racial polarisation and religious extremism to destroy the fabric of our society.”
