UiTM Sarawak maths lecturer wins AmBank Credit Card campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: A mathematic­s lecturer from Universiti Teknologi MARA ( UiTM) Sarawak has won the AmBank ‘Swipe and Spot the 8’ Credit Card Campaign.

In a statement yesterday, AmBank Group said Ling Siew Ching from Kuching won the grand prize of a brand new Toyota Vellfire in the campaign that ran from June 1 to Sept 30, 2016.

“To participat­e in the campaign, cardholder­s only had to register via one-time short message service (SMS) and then swipe a minimum of RM80 with their AmBank credit cards.

“Cardholder­s, who spot the number 8 in their six-digit approval code on their credit card sales slip, were automatica­lly entitled to the various prizes offered in this campaign,” it said.

AmBank Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said Ambank always believed in rewarding loyal customers and was consistent­ly creating new and innovative products and services to cater to their needs.

“We are delighted to share this joyous occasion with Ling for her continuous loyalty since 2004. Our congratula­tions to her and a big thank you to all our customers for their overwhelmi­ng response in the campaign,” he said.

Ambank said the campaign helped the group garner a yearon-year growth in retail spending of 14 per cent.

“It has also attracted many new cardholder­s, as well as registered a growth of over 100 per cent during the campaign period,” it said. — Bernama
