Tea FM to debut in Sibu this Christmas

-

KUCHING: Tea FM, a private Chinese radio station that began broadcasting in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu a year ago, will reach listeners in Sibu this Christmas.

From Dec 21, Tea FM will begin trial broadcasting on 100.7 FM in Sibu, featuring the voices of Sarawak.

The trial transmission is to ensure optimum listening quality within the Sibu area and the suburbs before the official coverage of Tea FM on Christmas Day ( Dec 25).

Technical teams from both Tea FM and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have been in the Sibu region to identify and test the broadcasting quality.

During the trial transmission, Tea FM will identify the areas covered by its broadcasts, and also collect feedback from listeners in and around Sibu in order to improve and enhance the listening experience.

The launch of Tea FM in Sibu marks the third broadcast venue in East Malaysia after Kuching and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. Tea FM aims to bring fresh, up-todate and exclusive content to its listeners.

Tea FM is a subsidiary of KTS Group. It is the first privatelyowned Chinese and English radio station in East Malaysia. Tea FM has been broadcasting in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu since Aug 1, 2015.

Tea FM is a 24-hour broadcast radio station, with programmes hosted in Mandarin from 6am to 7pm and in English from 7pm to 10pm.
