Sedania enters strategic partnership with IS.NET
KUCHING: Sedania Innovator Bhd ( Sedania) has entered into a strategic partnership with Iscada Net Sdn Bhd ( IS. NET) to provide Internet of Things (IOT) solutions services.
The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that its wholly- owned subsidiary IDOTTV Sdn Bhd (IDOTTV) had on December 20 entered into a strategic partnership agreement with IS. NET for the provision of ( IOT) solutions for a period of five years.
Sedania added the partnership is to design and supply devices that allow for instant connectivity and connection between the designated buildings and the Fire and Rescue Department ( JBPM), which is part of the company’s venture into the IOT technology segment.
Sedania believed the venture is expected to contribute positively to growth of the company and contribute positively to the earnings of the group in the future.
Besides that, Sedania said the agreement is also consistent with the group and its subsidiaries’ corporate objective of profit maximisation, increase shareholders’ value and improve business sustainability.
Elaborating further, Sedania said IDOTTV and IS. NET shall collaborate to undertake provision of iSNET Fire Safety Portal (iFSP) under the Automatic Fire Monitoring System ( SPKA) for JBPM.
The company observed that IS.NET would be the contracting party with the government and deliver its obligations as described in the agreements with designated building owners as required by JBPM.
Meanwhile, Sedania said IDOTTV would be responsible to design, develop, procure and supply IOT solutions in the form of iFSP devices to IS. NET.
It added IS. NET agreed to work on an exclusive basis with IDOTTV for the procurement and supply of the iFSP devices and not engage any other party without the written consent of IDOTTV.
Sedania noted the number of the devices to be designed, developed, procured and supplied to IS. NET is for a minimum of 6,300 designated buildings identified by JBPM for a period of five years, which may increase from time to time when the JBPM adds on to the designated building list.
Furthermore, Sedania said IDOTTV would be supplying the iFSP devices to IS. NET at a minimum selling price of RM2,300 per unit excluding Goods and Services Tax ( GST).
Meanwhile, Sedania revealed that IS. NET was established in 2009 as a technology provider for an advanced integrated fire detection solution and other emaintenance solutions.
It observed that IS. NET has been appointed by JBPM as the direct fire safety link service provider to Bomba.
Sedania noted the advanced Bomba direct f ire safety link system is called ( SPKA) and it replaces the existing Computerised Fire Alarm Monitoring and Communication System ( CMS) which is being phased out.
It outlined that SPKA consist of three major components.
They are the iStation – thirty three ( 33) monitoring centres at Pusat Gerakan Operasi ( PGO), Pusat Pengurusan Operasi (PPO) and Fire Stations throughout the country; iSFP – iSNET Fire Safety Portal to be supplied and installed at designated buildings throughout the country; and iBOSS – iSNET Bomba Operation Safety System, a solution that linked the iStation and iFSP.
