Govt brings devt to rural folk — Masir
SRI AMAN: Deputy Home Minister Masir Kujat said that in line with rapid development, the government is always making great effort to bring progress to all levels of society especially rural folk.
These efforts could be seen through various development programmes that have been and will be implemented by the state government and the people should make good use of the facilities provided.
Masir, who was speaking at the ‘Leaders meet people’ session cum Christmas celebration at Kampung Bakong Tengah, Tanjut Bijat recently, added that the people should not be complacent and hope for assistance from the government only.
Instead they should take the initiative to grab opportunities available in various sectors like industrial, business, ICT, agriculture, education or tourism.
“In this context, we must understand and accept changes as well as new ideas so that we will not be left behind in this rapid development. We must equip ourselves with enough skills,” he said.
Masir said in the globalised era, communication development is getting more important with the need to build a knowledge-based society or K-society.
“The power to think and the ability to innovate are given focus so that the community can face all kinds of socio- economic challenges today.
