Limkokwing University graduates from 66 countries receive their scrolls

PUTRAJAYA: Limkokwing University produces yet another batch of outstandin­g graduates through the December 2016 graduating class, consisting of more than 1,000 students from 66 countries.

The high- octane graduation ceremony was held at Putrajaya Internatio­nal Convention Centre, which was graced by the Chancellor of Limkokwing University, Sultanah of Pahang Hajjah Dr Kalsom.

Aptly themed “Future Leaders of the World”, this has been the second graduation held for the Malaysian campuses this year.

The scroll recipients include dynamic graduates from Europe, the Americas, Africa, many parts of Asia and of course Malaysia. Similar graduation ceremonies were held in Limkokwing University campuses in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland this year.

In total, more than 8,000 students from Limkokwing University worldwide graduated this year.

The university is known for producing young people trained to meet and exceed industry expectatio­ns with varied skill sets that are in tune with the latest technologi­cal advancemen­ts.

Combined with a global outlook and network, Limkokwing graduates are primed to take advantage of every opportunit­y in the age of globalizat­ion.

The December 2016 graduation ceremony presented a total of 62 top awards such as Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing Award for Leadership, Malaysian Prime Minister’s Award - Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak award for Creativity and Innovation, the University Colours for Ambassador­ship and the Command Performanc­e Special Award.

More than 30,000 students study at Limkokwing University’s 12 campuses in Asia, Africa and Europe. Its main campus in Cyberjaya alone holds close to 10,000 students with 80 per cent of them from foreign countries.

The University is also recognized as Malaysia’s University of Edu- Tourism, in recognitio­n of its effort in attracting youths to the country.
