-

KUCHING: The Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association Sarawak ( PVTMS) will be operating a mobile counter at the PVTMS Service Centre Office in Siburan here on Jan 8 starting at 10am to meet members.

On the day, PVTMS president Thomas Ling Kui Eng is expected to present aid to the widows of the late Sahir Wahidin and the late Bolhasan Numan— two of the association’s members who have passed away.

A press statement said that the funds which were collected during the Warriors Fund campaign were a small token to lessen the burden of the affected families.

Ling pointed out that the association was always ready to help all its members, especially by supporting and ensuring that their applications for welfare aid will be processed and approved by the authorities concerned.

New and long-time members facing difficulties or problems are invited to attend the session to meet the president.

PVTMS will be presenting special gifts to each veteran who registers as a member on the day.

Ling also called on members to locate veterans who have yet to register as members of PVTMS so they can enjoy the privileges and benefits that come with membership as the association was most active and committed in taking care of the welfare of its members.
