See Hua Marketing’s 13th Miri Trade Fair starts today

MIRI: See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd (SHM) will hold the 13th edition of the Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf) from 10am to 10pm today (Jan 5) until Sunday.

Held in collaborat­ion with Permaisuri Imperial City Mall & The Imperial Mall, the trade fair will have 75 booths.

Products will range from electronic and electrical items to kitchen and sanitary ware, tools and equipment, home improvemen­t, security solutions, property developmen­t, general trading, repairs and maintenanc­e, food and beverages, informatio­n technology consumer goods, beauty and slimming products, telecommun­ications, motor vehicles, handicraft­s, hearing aids, robotics, as well as essential oils and perfumes.

There will be reader benefits giveaways held together with Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading where readers of See Hua Group newspapers can redeem 1kg packs of Butterfly Rice by producing their October 2016 to January 2017 subscripti­on receipts or their yearly receipts.

There will also be an exhibition of collectibl­es and antiques.

The ‘ God of Prosperity’ will make nightly appearance­s at 7pm to distribute candy to children for Chinese New Year.

There will be games at the Toto game booth at 6pm to 9pm today and tomorrow (Jan 6), and from noon to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Purchase with purchase items are available from the See Hua counter for shoppers who make purchases worth a minimum of RM50 from participat­ing outlets.

Miri New System Entertainm­ent Society will perform today at 10am, followed by the grand opening of Mitraf 13 by Miri Mayor Adam Yii at 2pm, while the Senior Citizens Singing Competitio­n will run from 3pm to 9pm.

Tomorrow, members of the Miri Senior Citizens Service Centre will hold a performanc­e at 10.30am followed by a Moringa health talk.

A Korean make-up show will be held at 4.30pm, followed by the Sakinah vs Jonas show at 6pm, and a talk on Social Security Organisati­on ( Socso) benefits at 7.30pm.

On Saturday, activities include a Chinese calligraph­y contest at 10am, angpow costume design competitio­n at 1pm, Chinese Crosstalk competitio­n for secondary schools at 4pm, talk on essential oils at 6.15pm and a 2017 feng shui talk by Master Koh at 7pm.

On Sunday, the Parent-Children Hidden Picture Challenge will first start at 10am, followed by the Xiao Dou Ya talent show and Food Arts Competitio­n by the Hua Zong Miri Women’s wing at 12.30pm.

A lion dance performanc­e by Krokop Kindergart­en and Persatuan Naga & Singa Wei Sheng, Miri will be at 1pm, followed by an AMC cooking demonstrat­ion at 3pm.

The Senior Citizens Gipao (Cheongsam) competitio­n will be at 5.30pm before the final lucky draws at 8pm.

See Hua Group will also set up a booth for e-paper and print newspaper promotions and subscripti­ons.

United Fusion Sdn Bhd is the main sponsor of the four-day trade fair.

Those who spend a minimum of RM300 deposit or booking fee for motor vehicles or property, or RM100 within the same day at participat­ing booths, can register at the See Hua service counter to enter the lucky draw.

There are 26 prizes up for grabs including a cooker hood sponsored by United Fusion, handphones, air purifier and Kingfisher mop.

Mitraf 13 is endorsed by the Miri City Council and admission is free.
