Triple X New Year Bowling Challenge this Saturday

KUCHI NG: T riple X a re organising the 1st New Year Bowling Challenge at Megalanes Sarawak, Emart Batu Kawa this Saturday Jan 7.

Organising chairman Kevin Yeo said yesterday that the competition has to date attracted more than 80 participants.

“We are hoping to get more than 100 participants for the competition which is open to all,” he said.

“Objectives of the competition are to further enhance ties between the bowlers, stress on the importance of team work and encourage more people to participant in similar activity,” said Yeo.

The competition is based on eight games and the champion will receive RM2,000 and trophy, first runner- up RM1,000 plus trophy and third place RM500 plus trophy.

The fourth to seventh place finishers will get RM250, RM200, RM180 and RM120 respectively.

As for those who finish in the eighth to 10th place, they will get RM110, RM100 and RM80 respectively.

Finishers in the 11th to 15th position shall each receive RM50 and from 16th to 25th position shall each get a hamper.

Other awards are RM150 for a perfect game, RM50 each for the women’s champion, women’s high game ( scratch) and men’s high game (scratch).

For the Average 180 and Below category, the top three winners will receive RM100, RM50 and RM30 respectively.

“The registration fee per person is RM180 and those interested can still walk in and register themselves on Jan 7 from 6: 30pm to 7pm subject to availability of slots,” added Yeo who said the rolloff for the competition will be at 7: 30pm.

According to him, Batu Kawa state assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang who is also Padawan Municipal Council chairman and Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Kitang youth chairman Alvin Chong have been invited as the VIP guests of the event and give away the prizes.
