SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum bags five contracts worth US$300 million

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum Bhd’s units have secured five contracts with a combined value of US$ 300 million ( RM1.34 billion) from four companies.

SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum said its unit, SapuraKenc­ana Subsea Services Sdn Bhd, had been awarded a contract for the provision of underwater services for Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

“The contract is for a period of two years and the work is to be performed on a call- out basis,” it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

Petronas Carigali also awarded a contract to SapuraKenc­ana GeoScience­s Sdn Bhd for the provision of soil investigat­ion services at its Peninsular Malaysia operation, as well as Sarawak and Sabah operation areas.

The contract is for a period of one year with an option to extend for a further one-year period, SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum said.

Meanwhile, SapuraKenc­ana TL Offshore Sdn Bhd (SKTLO) bagged a contract from Hyundai Heavy Industries to provide offshore installati­on work for Baronia B central processing platform ( BNCPP) -B jacket, foundation piles and bridge structure between BNCPP-B to BNG-B.

“The work location is in Sabah and Sarawak and the contract is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2017,” SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum said.

It said SKTLO had also secured a contract from Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd for the provision of transporta­tion and installati­on of pipeline, substance and topside for Bunga Pakma Developmen­t Project in the shared Malaysia-Vietnam zone.

The contract was for a period of 12 months, it said.

Meanwhile, SapuraKenc­ana Drilling Sdn Bhd bagged a contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd for the provision of tender assist drilling rig.

The company said the contract was scheduled to commence in April 2018 for a firm period of five years with an option to extend for an additional five years. — Bernama
