Sarawak has lost true great leader of all time
SARATOK: Sarawak has lost a true great leader of all time, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem, for having the heart to really care for the wellbeing of the people, including those in the rural areas.
According to a pensioner, Rajunie Zaini of Kampung Kupang Tengah, here when contacted yesterday, the people of Kpg Kupang Hulu, Kpg Kupang Tengah and Kpg Kupang Hilir were suffering for more than 20 years with no clean water supply, especially during Hari Raya.
“Eventhough our plight has been published in the mass media many times, no proper action was taken to help us in the three villages.
“However, when Adenan came to lead the state government, things became better and last year, we started to enjoy clean water supply, h he added.
Rajunie said they could now celebrate Hari Raya with a broad smile as Adenan had responded promptly to their cries for help.
“We, in the three villagers are really very sad with the demise our our beloved chief minister.
“Eventhough we never met him in person, what he has contributed to Sarawak and particularly to our villages is something we will never forget for the rest of our life. We will pass the true story of this great leader to the next generations.
Rajunie, 71, also said Adenan was trully a one in a million truely great leader, despite leading Sarawak for just a short period of time.
“Adenan is indeed the ‘People’s Champion’ who lived his life as the chief minister for all Sarawakians, bringing better quality of life for the people of all races and religions,” he said.
