George Michael had ‘500’ lovers in just seven years
LONDON: TV show host Piers Morgan has disclosed that his late friend singer George Michael boasted about having “500 lovers” in just seven years.
It appeared that Michael had trouble reining in his sexual desires. Police had even arrested him for performing an undisclosed lewd act at a public lavatory.
Michaels’ frank admission to Morgan was made during a dinner party discussion at a mutual friend’s south London house.
In his latest column for a London-based newspaper, Morgan said Michael, 53, was unusually candid about his personal life and made him laugh with talk of his exploits.
Recounted Morgan: ‘ I knew George pretty well, through various interviews and a sporadic, highly amusing email relationship, but nothing quite prepared me for that night.
Added Morgan: “George, who had us all heaving with laughter with his searing, shocking honesty, chuckled: “I’ve decided to just admit everything so people can’t expose me for it.”
Heterosexual Morgan also said that George quizzed him about his sexuality.
Morgan added that the singer had told him he was being blackmailed by a French male prostitute saying, “I forgot to pay him!’ and admitted that if he was to sleep with a woman, it would be Elizabeth Taylor.”
Michael never regretted being caught propositioning a policeman in a Beverly Hills public toilet, saying: “I was only sorry for offending some of my fans.”
Michael even asked Morgan: “Come on Piers, I bet you’ve fancied experimenting with men?” Michael, who passed away last Christmas Day, was in a relationship with Kenny Goss from 1996-2009 and Fadi Fawaz from 2012 onwards.
It has emerged that Michael received at least 10 visitors in the days before he died.
