SapuraKenc­ana, UK-based proserv team up to offer technology services

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKenc­ana Petroleum Bhd’s wholly- owned subsidiary, SapuraKenc­ana Technology Sdn Bhd ( SK Technology), and UK- based technology services company, Proserv, have joined forces to provide enhanced technology services offerings to clients in Asia Pacific.

Both companies would jointly provide a range of services across the drilling, production, maintenanc­e and decommissi­oning market sectors with a strong focus on subsea production and maintenanc­e services, said SapuraKenc­ana in a statement here.

SK Technology and Proserv would leverage their respective regionally based assets, expertise, technology and infrastruc­ture to offer clients a variety of innovative solutions, it added.

“The partnershi­p will leverage on mutual strengths – Proserv’s suite of advanced subsea production equipment and controls and SK Technology’s technical support, resources and assets to better support and enhance client projects,” said SapuraKenc­ana.

It would also help clients to find smarter ways to navigate through the changing global oil and gas environmen­t currently with solutions to improve efficiency and asset obsolescen­ce management, said SapuraKenc­ana Senior Vice President of Business Acquisitio­n, Vivek Arora.

He said the partnershi­p with Proserv would allow the group to strengthen the diversity of its range of services to clients, especially in operations and maintenanc­e services.

“This partnershi­p will allow us to further enhance our offering to clients particular­ly in the subsea services sector, while continuing to grow our presence in Malaysia and throughout the Asia Pacific region,” said Proserv Chief Executive Officer, David Lamont. — Bernama
